High Gas Prices Solved - With Water?

Yes, it’s true. When my wife first told me about what she had seen, I almost didn’t believe her. The YouTube video below shows the genius inventor who is now running his car on water. You have to see it to believe it. Even better, there are now companies that are selling the “kits” to convert your car to run on water. I certainly don’t suggest that anyone goes out and starts tinkering, because you are more likely to get into trouble (i.e. destroy your engine), but I do believe that more and more mechanics will at least try this on their own cars, and then perhaps we will see a trend of shops doing this if it works. Hmm, sounds like I am giving away the “next big thing.” Anyhow, check out the video below and make your own decision.
If you find a good mechanic who wants to give it a try, please let me know. I have a friend who owns a garage in Maryland and I am going to send this to him as well.
UPDATE: I was contacted by someone who said this is a scam. I have seen two sides of the coin, some say it’s impossible, and others say it’s 100% true. I am not a scientist, but if that video is fake, then it’s a good fake. I am also not linking to any resources that show you how to destroy (I mean modify) your engine so that no one can say I encouraged them to do it.
For the record, the company referenced in the video is Hydrogen Technology Applications.
The Economic Impact of Getting Rid of Your Car

Recently as my wife and I were looking at our budget and seeing how much of it was “gas”, I did a little bit of math to see what the impact on our budget would be if we got rid of one of our cars. Here is what I came up with:
Car payment = $379
Insurance for that car = $130
Gas (one month) = $240
Maintenance (monthly average) = $100
Total = $849 per month
WOW, that’s a lot of money we could save. Imagine the vacations we could take with an extra $849 per month. But it gets even better. That’s the net amount, which means we are reducing our income requirement by $1,415 per month (when you consider taxes) which is $16,980 per year. You know what that means? We can work less and enjoy life more.
For some of you this may not be practical, but for others, you might want to consider. I don’t think we are going to lose a car right now, because it certain would require more planning since we both work. Not to mention, I am going to win a Lexus tomorrow
My local dealer sent me a key that opens the vault with the key to a brand new IS350! I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
The Anatomy of a $164 Headache (and my third return to this blog)

Hey folks… not sure how many of you are still out there. Life happened and considering the large salary that I pay myself to blog here… well you get the picture.
Anyhow, I am back once again, and instead of trying to run a blog for every different though stream I have (that’s what is seemed like) I am just going to ramble here about everything from daily life, faith, the state of health care, most likely NOT politics, maybe poker occasionally, living in Phoenix, my fight to lose nearly 50 pounds (at 206 today), and who knows what else. I guarantee it will be good or your money back.
So yesterday I went to the chiropractor just to keep my spine in shape, and not due to any particular problem. Today I wake up not feeling very good, but I proceeded to work out. After working out, my neck was super tight and I was starting to get a headache, so I decided to go get a massage ($39 + $15 tip). That helped a little but my massage therapist said “I think you need an adjustment.” I told her I had just gone yesterday to the chiropractor and she suggested that I go back. So, I left my massage and went to the chiropractor ($25 co-pay), and it gave me a little relief. I finally got back to my office (talk about a long lunch), and then I start to feel nauseas which sometimes happens when I get migraines. So I decide to just go home and rest. On the way home I call my wife and she suggests that I go get acupuncture, so she calls and gets me in right away (we have some of the best health care providers - they take such good care of us). Keep in mind, I have never had acupuncture, but my wife had and we saw some great results. I laid there and he did his magic. When we started, the paid was about a “5″ on a scale of 1-10, and by the time I left it was down to about 1.5 - very bearable. Oh yeah, $70 for the acupuncture plus he gave me some homeopathic sinus meds ($15) because I had some sinus pressure as well contributing to the headache.
So yes, it took me $164 to get rid of the headache, and now I get to work all night to get caught up. Looking back, if I had started with the acupuncture I might have saved on one of the others… who knows?
